40k Gamers Dictionary

A rough guide to gaming slang, abbreviations and terminology. If you think anything is missing post it in the discussion thread!
A Attacks. AP Armour penetration, whether a hit allows an armour save, ie AP3 SV3 = no save. Astro The best multi-race 40k forum on line. BA Blood Angels. BT Black Templars. Beardy Unbalanced armies or style of play using the rules to power game but straying from the fluff. Visually represented by stroking one's chin at your opponent. Beard An imaginary visual reference to the level of someone's power gaming, ie Sorry, did I step on your beard? (see Beardy) BFG No not what you might think, its Battle Fleet Gothic. BS Ballistic skill, determines how effective a model is at shooting based attacks. Bugs Tyranids. Canned Food Space Marines or powered armoured models. cc Close combat. ccw Close combat weapon.
