They didn't know it was impossible, so they did it. - Attr. Mark Twain It was over forty years ago and from our perspective - we who are too young to have lived that moment - it seems like it was a miracle. It couldn't be done, not in a time where computers the size of wardrobes did not have one tenth the computing power of a single of our smartphones. Pocket calculators didn't exist. Advanced materials didn't exist, rocket science barely existed: it was these guys' job to ...
Ugh. I've about had it. And I believe you all know what I mean when I say "I've about had it." Yes, that's right, I am miffed about the latest Price Hike (capitalized because it's a regularly occurring and oft-documented event of some import and much rage-inducement.) Basically it's a medical group that claims to have extremely high survivor rates etc etc. The ads just come across as a smear campaign on traditional doctors everywhere, for starters. One guy claims his "big burly doctor" (Erm, don't really see how that's relevant...) told him"What are you smiling, for you have 6 months to live". Just one example of many absurd conversations ...
Since writing my piece "The Helldivers" for Feb's MFC, I've been in a bit of a funk. Namely, being very busy at work. This month's prompt (which I believe is "fear") intrigues me. I've had what I think is a good idea for a piece, and intend to re-introduce my Harakoni Helldivers to it. I'm just firming up the concept in my mind, and then I'll start penning it. No doubt it'll be another monster.
