is there a time frame? I have a csm champion who could do with a lick of paint, and I'm always up for a bit of c&c en mass
Hear Ye! Hear Ye!
The once mighty contest of Rumbling has once more returned to our humble forum.
That is right folks; its back! For those of you who remember the previous Rumble or Stumble events you can get back into the painting frenzy of rumbling. For those of you who may not know what Rumble or Stumble is, then read on!
The idea is to motivate you to keep cracking at the hobby by letting you paint a single figure (and have fun while doing so!) and putting it for glorious display. This is open to everyone, and it doesn’t matter how good you may be at painting as we are simply looking to fill warhammer armies world wide with colour. So without further ado.
Here are the terms and conditions:
1. The challenge is to paint one leader unit. For 40K this would mean a HQ figure, HQ squad member (chapter champion, incubi etc) or officer-type mini (veteran sergeant, junior officer, exarch, synapse creature, etc.). For WHFB you have the choice of a Lord, a Hero or a command group character (champion, music or standard bearer). The added flexibility will make it easier for everybody to find something to tie in with an existing project so everybody should be able to find a model to join in the fun.
2. One picture of the model un-primed or primed is required.
3. Three 'in progress' shots are required with a short line or two explaining something you have done to the model. Highlighting, shading, and dry brush... you get the idea.
4. 1 - 4 completed shots of you model. If the thread gets too big I will move them to another with just the completed models for judging.
5. A poll will decide who 'Rumbles!' (The winner!) And who 'Stumbles!' (The losers), though there really are only winners here!
6. The Duel starts right now and will end Sunday the 14th of August. On Monday 15th of August, I will post the poll for voting over a seven day period so people may vote on who has rumbled the most.
So... who's in?

I should really do something.

Yeah, your model has to be completed before August the 10th!
I may put a Klaivex into this contest, or a Sybarite.
Sors salutis/ Et virtutis/ Michi nunc contraria
Est affectus/ Et defectus/ Semper in angaria
Hac in hora/ Sine mora/ Corde pulsum Tangite
Quod per sortem/ Sternit fortem/ Mecum omnes plangite!
as long as the spawn doesn't come early I'm sure I can manage that
Yeah, I think all game systems, even non-GW ones, are fair game (as long as the mini is a leader). That's only what I remember of the previous rumbles, so I may just be off!

Beat me too it Skit.
Indeed, a single mini from pretty much most ranges are fine.
I should really do something.
If I can put a Killzone (fanmade ruleset of Galaxy in Flames to play 40K in a smaller 5-20 mini skirmish setting) team leader in here you can count my Slaaneshi terminator champion in! Been using my hiatus time wisely building up a Killzone team and will have pics later this week
Very well, I will kick this off with...
Sebastian Grosch, Hauptmann of Ostermark

Need custom insignia for an army? I take sculpting commissions
Hmmm. I'll see what I can pull out of the hat...
Now, take a deep breath. Repeat after me "This is a miniature wargame forum. This place is only as good as I make it. The decision is mine. It does not control my destiny. It does not effect my paycheck. It does not make my mother love me any less. It is a fun place where I can talk to others that feel the way I do."
