Which of the three is that? Deathworld, Fifteen Hours, or the other one?
Deathworld is a little unconventional but works (IMO). Fifteen Hours is just an incredible book. And I havn't read the third one.
My father in law bought me a copy of the Imperial Guard Omnibus volume I. I've just scratched the surface having read about eight chapters of the first story. I must say it is quite enjoyable. So much, in fact, that Dzzy is complaining that I don't pay enough attention when she talks at me.

I have yet to delve into the Omnibus despite it sitting on my shelf, waiting to be picked up again. I got through a few pages of Fifteen Hours before losing interest. Perhaps this was due to just finishing Lord of the Night which was, quite simply, a great book.
Ossai, the third story is Rebel Winter.

All good books. I'm just on the last page of the current Guant omnibus. Next one isn't released until next March so I'm not too happy about that...
Lots to get through in the meantime though. I just picked up the Last Chancers.
Death World was my favourite in that series though. Rebel Winter was the Vostroyan's wasn't it? Good read that one. Loved 'The White Boar".
i have been looking into picking up that omnibus for a while, think when im done reading the ciaphas cain one i shall :)
